2002 Pontiac Trans Am/Firehawk Convertible
One owner, one of just 202 made in 2002.
This is the first car I've written about that has an actual Birth Certificate!
Jaguars and many British cars have Heritage Certificates as do several German makes. There are Marti and Galen reports, Bloomington Gold, etc. This car has a Birth Certificate.
Born in LaSalle, Quebec, on July 10th, 2002, after visiting the SLP facility to get her ram air set up and exhaust plus a few other bits, she was sent off to Brustolon Buick-Pontiac in Mystic, CT. That's where Peter plunked down some hard earned cash and purchased her on August 1st.. Just 20 days later.
In the time since, the car has only been driven 8993 miles... and it shows. Everything is like new.
Coming out of the factory, she was armed with the all aluminum 5.7L GM 350 V8 LS1, attached to a 6 speed manual transmission sporting a Hurst shifter. That funnels the 325 HP and 350lbft to the 3:42 ratio, limited slip, traction controlled rear axle. The traction is applied to the pavement via Firestone Firehawk 275/40ZR17 rubber, with their own special pattern. The suspension is the slightly uprated FE3, ride/handling package with the Delphi shocks.
The interior is all leather, black. The convertible top is black cloth. The bucket seats are 6 way power and 4 way manual adjust, the windows and mirrors are power as are the brakes (4 wheel disc) and steering, which has a cooler attached. Full gauges let you know where all the cars vitals are at and your ears are buffeted by the sounds from the GM Monsoon stereo. For safety, aside from the seatbelts, there are air bags Left and Right.
The other SLP extras include the 17" chrome wheels, Firehawk floor mats, Firehawk rear trunk mat and commemorative portfolio.
After nearly 20 years this car has kept it's value rather well. This nearly new Pontiac convertible can be had for $35,000. I can't say that you'll find anyone better...possibly with less miles. With lower mileage ones selling in the $40,000 range, this is a great buy.
Any questions, to schedule a time to see her or to make an offer, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Thank you for the interest.
