2001 Jaguar S-Type
The original owner of the car purchased her brand new in FL and the car spent most of her days there in the baking hot sun.. She went west to Arizona for a bit, to bake a little more and then finally settled in CT. When the owner died several years ago, the car was sold to the current owner as part of the estate sale.
Being a car guy and not being able to leave well enough alone, he set out to fix the minor bits, like a malfunctioning adaptive ride control system, battery drain, etc. He replaced pretty much all the computers, put reconditioned ride control shocks on her (new ones range upwards of $350 each), added heated seats (hence the slight color difference.. the interior is charcoal, the seats are tan. The original seats come with the car) and installed a new battery. Despite having over 170,000 miles, the 3.0L V6 and 5 spd auto trans, still run smooth and strong. He has performed regular oil changes on her in his two years of ownership.
This Jaguar came from the factory with: VVT, traction control, adaptive suspension, speed sensitive power steering, 8 way power seats, fold down rear seats, full Connolly leather interior, premium sound, navigation and more.
With 170+K miles, she's been around the block... a lot... and has some bumps and bruises to go with that use. The biggest issue is the sun damaged paint on the bonnet, hood and boot. The sun also damaged the plastic section of the dash (not the leather tho!), there are a couple of scratches and small parking lot dings and some wear on the driver seat and marks on the leather elsewhere in the interior. One thing she doesn't have is rust/rot. Spending most of her time in the south, with hot, sunny weather made sure of that.
However, this car will still put you back in your seat and will get you to 60 mph in just about 8 seconds, all while sipping gas at an average of 22 MPG.
She won't win any shows but she will get you where you need to be with Grace, Space and Pace...
$1600 brings her home.
If you have any questions, would like to make an offer or schedule a time to see her in person, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Thank you for the interest.
