1988 Lincoln MK VII LSC

Purchased several years ago to be the daily driver/cruiser for the guy who owned a Harley, several large Ford trucks and a 64 Galaxie 500 sport back, the 302 V8, fuel injected LSC was the perfect match. The car has just over 92,000 miles on her.

Laden with all the luxury accoutrements of any other Lincoln Continental, like leather,  power seats; power steering, p-brakes, p-door locks, p-mirrors,p-windows; 4 wheel disc brakes, with ABS; A/C (which still blows cold) cassette/stereo with lots of speakers; self-leveling suspension (new airbags installed less than two years ago); 4 speed AOD transmission; Cruise-Control; sunroof; tilt wheel; etc. it was exactly what he was looking for.

This one is running a true dual exhaust (there is some rust in the tailpipe) and American Racing five spoke, chrome wheels wrapped in BFG rubber, slightly oversized. Lincoln's hot rod luxo-cruiser, with a little more attitude.

The LSC fires right up and idles with a  very nice, throaty, deep rumble. She drives well and is even a bit sporty, despite being a Lincoln, very comfortable. The transmission shifts up and down as it should.

The driver seat is worn/torn and the electric motor to move the back of the seat works intermittently, the headliner around the sunroof needs to be reattached and she would reap the benefits of a deep interior clean. (she's not bad but getting in and using some leather cleaner, carpet shampoo, removing or fixing the window tint, and detailing her would work wonders). There are a couple of electrical gremlins, the aforementioned driver's seat; the speedometer, when in P, revs like the tach, but when in D and moving, reads correctly and the wiper switch buzzes sometimes when the wipers are off but not when they're on.

The clear coat over the Medium Cabernet paint has given up in a few places, but overall, still looks presentable and the body is rust/rot free. Some color correction, color sanding and buffing would help things a bit.

The car is being sold because the owner passed away last year and his widow doesn't need the additional vehicles and needs to get the LSC moved on to a new home.

We're asking $3500 for her or best offer.
