1986 Porsche 944

This car was previously owned by a car tinkerer. He would purchase a car that overall looked good but most often had some issue(s). He would usually get them at a bargain price and then do the work necessary to bring them back. He kept all sorts of notes on what he was doing to each one. This car is one of several he had in his yard when he passed away.  I am assisting the family in getting them moved on to new conservators.

This Porsche is a base model 944 with the 2.5L 4 cyl. putting out roughly 145 HP. It is painted in Guards Red over a black leather interior.

The engine turns over, however, at the time of the photos, our jump pack was starting to fade and we don't know yet for sure if the car will start and run.

It appears as though some brake work was being done as the front left caliper is in the back seat floor and the brake line was under the hood.

Aside from the dent in the door from an apparent fallen tree limb, the body is in great condition. There is no rust or rot. The interior is also in very good shape except for the sagging headliner. The missing radio is in the hatch area along with many additional parts.

This car also has the large sun roof, power seats, power windows and of course power steering and brakes. The 5 speed transmission will assist in keeping this car sporty.

She has been sitting for at least a couple of years and will need some TLC, some deep cleaning and the brake work completed. The clutch pedal is stiff and may simply need some fluid or it could need a slave cylinder or more. Transaxle linkage shifts very smoothly.

Despite some of the shortcomings, with the overall quality of the body and interior, it is felt she is worth $2500.

Please contact me with any questions, to schedule a time to see her or to make an offer.

Thank you for the interest.
