1985 Porsche 911 Targa Carrera
One owner until 2010, when the current owner acquired the car through a deal with a local Porsche dealership after it had been traded in by the original owner for a new Porsche. He had it repainted in the original L700 Black, drove it sparingly and then put it up for sale at his dealership in 2014. He decided not to sell the car and took it off the lot. He drove it a few more times and then took it off the road in 2016 with the idea of doing a full restoration on the car. That didn't happen and now he's decided to move the car on privately to a new conservator. The car was refreshed with a new fuel pump, new tires (date coded as 2018's) and a complete engine check.
The car and runs and drives excellently, shifts well through the gears (5 speed manual) and accelerates very strongly.
There are a few chips in the paint and some slight wear areas here and there (driver bolster, steering wheel has some fade, driver door pull, the paint on 16" staggered, Fuchs wheels) but overall the black paint shines very nicely and the Champagne interior still looks bubbly... All the electrics work as they should and the car is rust free.
The only listed option on the code tag is CO2 (US emissions compliant), however, the car has working AC, an Alpine head unit with 6 disc changer in the trunk (missing it's cartridge), optional 80's cell phone hook up, 6 way power driver seat, removable Targa top, 16" Fuchs wheels (225/50/R16 in the rear-205/55/R16 front) and power windows. It does not have power steering or power brakes however stopping is handled easily with 4 wheel disc brakes.
The 3.2L flat six (with a current 124,974 miles) makes roughly 215 HP depending on which source you look at and will propel the 911 to 60 MPH in just about 6 seconds.
Overall this is an awesome driver, in great condition, super solid and ready for lots more enjoyment.
Asking price is $38,500
