1980 Chevy Camaro Berlinetta Project/Parts
This car was purchased back in the mid 80's and the current owner is the second owner of the Camaro. This was her first car.
Originally equipped with the small 267 V8, when she blew that one up, her family replaced it with the 305 2 bbl that currently sits under the hood.
The car came from the factory in Claret red over the Carmine red cloth interior and as a Berlinetta sport soupe. The car was repainted in the 90's. She added air shocks and that allowed her to fit Kelly 245/60/14's out back mounted to Cragar SST wheels, similar Kelly 205/70s were up front. Trans should be a TH350 auto and the rear end is a ten bolt. Disc brakes reside up front and drums in back.
In the early 2000's she had plans of restoring the car to it's former glory but as life often has it, those plans didn't come to fruition. Although running and moving as little as just several years ago, the car has been sitting and time has taken it's toll on this once sporty Camaro.
Is it restorable? Anything is, and although most of the rust is on the lower body panels, there is also rust in/at the trunk hinges.
If you have a real soft spot for these late 2nd gen Camaros, here is a great project; if you need parts here is a great donor. F&R bumpers are good, hood, tail-lights and glass are good, spoiler is good, some interior bits, etc.
Asking is $1000 obo.
Thanks for looking!
