1979 Mazda RX-7 Project/parts car

This car was bought in 1984 as a daily driver for the daughter of the current owner.

She enjoyed her cars and drove them hard. The original engine started smoking, so a second 1980 RX-7 was purchased for the engine. Before they could get the engine transferred, they started driving the 80. When they were pulled over for driving and unsafe car (there was so much rust in the 80, the officer deemed it unsafe at any speed...) Forced to swap engines, the yellow RX-7 was back on the road.

It was driven well into the 90's when she started running rough and the rotary engine, being a bit of a bear to work on and source parts for, was banished to the back 40.

She is rusty. Probably too much to fix, especially with great specimens only touching $15000 or so.

There are two of the 12A rotary engines, the great looking, fairly rare Toyo Kogyo aluminum wheels, the 5 speed transmission, some interior parts, the glass is in good condition...

Asking price of $1000 will take her home.
