Very little is known about the history of this Vette aside from the last 6 months. It was recently taken as part of a "money and trade" deal on another car and the owner just previous to this owner also took it as trade on his motorcycle.
We do know that she started life as an L48, Dark Blue, Oyster leather interior, auto trans equipped car, optioned with A/C, PS, PB, PW, power locks, tilt steering wheel and T-Tops.
The frame is in very good shape with no rot and very little surface rust.
The interior at some point was died black but evidence of the original Oyster can be seen in places. The interior isn't fitted very well and will need some tightening up and finishing. The A/C currently does not work. It has a Pioneer stereo with auxillary USB inputs.
The car has been painted at least three times... Once at the factory, red at one point and now this very cool (in my opinion) copper color. The car is a ten footer and looks and sounds awesome cruising by. A close inspection will find several flaws in the paint and several more on the interior. The odometer shows 80K miles but it is known that under the hood resides a Targetmaster 350 crate motor. Unknown are how many miles are on it, but she rumbles and idles very smoothly.
The previous owner reports that he did a new master cylinder and front brakes. The T-Tops have been replaced with a one piece custom smoked Lexan unit. Doesn't look bad at all.
The bottom line on this car is that she runs out very well, she looks and sounds cool and can be had rather inexpensively for a Corvette. It's a great entry into the collector car world and can be driven and enjoyed while working out some of the kinks. The copper color will definitely get looks. She isn't going to win any shows but who cares, you'll still be out cruising with the top off, wind in your hair, listening to the rumble of the 350 V8.
Asking price on this Corvette is only $6000.
