1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Convertible
Built originally in Lansing MI, we feel that the car came to CT from there. The current owner purchased it from who he believes is the second owner of the car, also here in CT.
Working at a body shop, he took this one on as another project car. It needed a top, some interior work and some body work. It had been sitting in a garage for nearly 20 years before he purchased the car. They got the car running and he drove it occasionally but roughly 6 years ago it went in for the body work and paint. An incident at the body shop caused the car to be moved to a nearby storage facility, where she has sat outside for the last 3-4 years.
Based on the VIN and Data Plate, this car has it's original color, Covert Beige (not original paint, it was repainted before being put out to pasture) and original interior in Saddle brown, the top was replaced at some point in a non original brown, the original supposed to be Covert Beige like the paint. The body is very solid, even the floor pans, aside from some surface rust.
It came from the factory with several options, including bucket seats, console shifter, cable remote mirror, AC, power steering, power brakes and power top. Despite the power brakes, she's running drums all around.
The engine is a numbers matching, original Oldsmobile Rocket 350, 2 bbl set up putting out roughly 250 HP, behind that is a three speed automatic transmission that hooks up the 10 bolt Oldsmobile rear end. The engine does not turn. Odometer has 118K miles.
Aking price on this Cutlass Supreme project is
$3800
