1970 Leyland Mini 1000

Unfortunately, we don't know much about this car before she landed on our shores back in the early 2000's.

We do know that the current owner purchased the car from a dealer in England. The car was originally black. When the car across the pond, the new owner had some minor body work done, she was completely painted in this canary yellow, with the checkered flag roof (hood for those Brits reading this) and she had the interior redone in a matching pattern.

The car has been serviced at the same workshop in Branford CT since she imigrated here.

New Yokohama tires on Minilite/Superlite rims set off the squared stance that makes these cars handle like go-karts.

Overall the car is in good nick. She runs and drives excellently, handles even better. If you haven't noticed, she's right hand drive. The mechanic will be installing two front axle seals as part of regular service that he has been administering since 2002.

There is some minor rust on the right side rear window, a little bubbling on the right side door bottom and on both sides where the inner fender well meets the floor pan. There is no perforation of rust through any of the metal.

This car is ready to get into and have a blast. Small enough to keep next to the tractor in the garden shed.

Priced at $8000 or best offer, she's also a great, inexpensive way to get into the British car collector world.

The small bits of rust will eventually need to be addressed but they will not keep anyone from enjoying this awesome, little auto.

Any questions, to schedule a time to see her in person or to simply make an offer, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Thank you!
