1955 Ford 860 Jubilee Tractor
Purchased at Mecum's Gone Farmin Auction back in 2015. The owner, a gentleman farmer in NW CT, purchased the tractor with the idea of using it sparingly around the farm and for marketing purposes, alongside two other show tractors.
Fully restored just a couple of years previously, this tractor, running the 134 ci, 32 hp, overhead valve, 4 cylinder engine, is in beautiful condition and fully operational with full hydraulic draw bar and live PTO.
The tractor starts easily (electric start) and runs great, not burning or leaking any oil. The engine has less than 15 miles on it and just over 11 hours.. The electrical system is still running the original 6 volts. It also has a full (4 piece) gauge set which includes ammeter, temperature, oil pressure and speedometer/tachometer combination. Brakes are rear only, mechanical, expanding drum. The tractor also has both front and rear lights and a single brake light.
The tractor is currently running 13.6-28 8 ply, R-1 Agri-Trac Akuret tires in the rear and Goodyear 6.00-16 in front.
The 5 speed (plus reverse) transmission keeps the tractor moving in pretty much any condition.
He has now decided to take a slightly different direction in the marketing and has several other work horses to handle any of the real farm needs, so this one and one other, is being sold on to a new farm/home.
In essence a brand new, 66 year old tractor.
Asking price is $11,000
