1948 Ford Coupe Custom

The owner of this car purchased her about 12 years ago; he traded a Model A hotrod truck. Well, he's ready to move on to a new classic and it's time to sell this beauty.

He hasn't really done anything to the car, except get the pinstriping done, it was purchased as seen.

The car is powered by a Chevy 350 of unknown vintage, it had been rebuilt when he got the car. That is mated to a TH 350 auto trans and runs out through a Chevy 10 bolt rear. Unknown what the true mileage is, however, the owner feels he may have put 15,000 miles on the car in his ownership. The engine is dressed with flamed air cleaner and valve covers, Accel electronic ignition, Edelbrock 4bbl Performer manifold and matched 4 BBL carb. There are a bunch of other chrome goodies under the hood as well. Exhaust is true dual through stock manifolds into 2.5" pipes that flow out through old school Thrush style glass packs.

The front suspension has been replaced with a Mustang II set up that features power discs (drums out back). The rear is standard leaf spring set up. It does sit roughly 3-4 inches lower than stock ride height.

The rims are 5 spoke American Racing with BFG Radial T/As wrapped around them.

There are yellow undercarriage lights to sort of match the interior color and blue lights in the interior and trunk, the lights have been frenched, blue dotted in the rear, the door and trunk handles shaved and is equipped with electronic solenoid openers and foot operated manual poppers if needed. Custom mirrors have the turn signal built in along with mini signals hidden in the front grill. She's also had a nose and deck job.

The cream/yellow interior has many custom touches including flames patterned into the door cards, lots of dice, flames and Betty Boop. Power windows let the air in and power steering (through a billet, flamed wheel) keeps you from breathing heavy to turn the BFGs. There is a custom stereo that the owner hasn't even fully learned how to use all the special features of, including weather/temperature.

The car is super solid, no rust, no rot. She starts and runs out strong and can be driven anywhere you want to go. The car underwent a full frame off rebuild just a couple of years before the current owner took possession and it shows.

Unfortunately, due to a battle with cancer he fell behind on some clean up things and she shows a couple of stains here and there that will clean up with a deep steam cleaning. The undercarriage hasn't been properly detailed in a couple of years either, however, he used to get underneath and clean and wax the frame rails and floor pans. In his ownership, the car has not been driven in the rain.

Totally ready to take out to cruise nights, shows, etc and with a little deep cleaning, ready to win at those too, just as he has done several times.

Asking price on this too cool 48 Ford is just $24,500

Any questions, to schedule a time to see her or to make an offer, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Thank you for the interest.
