1940 Plymouth Deluxe Convertible
6 cylinder flat head, P10 201 CU 84 HP fed by the original Carter carburetor.
Starts and runs strong. No rust or rot. Original style naugahyde interior. Vacuum operated, power top. Wind wings. heater/defog. Electric wipers. New exhaust. 3 speed on the tree with electronic overdrive. Recently tuned.
Unfortunately, not a lot is known about the history of this particular Deluxe.
It was purchased at auction several years ago by the current owner and driven about for a couple of summers and very well cared for in that time frame. The owner then fell ill and is now unable to drive the car. Having sat in the garage undercover for the last few years, being started but not really driven, it was decided to move her on to a new conservator.
When the car was purchased, the carb was rebuilt, given a full tune and new exhaust.
There are a couple of chips in the paint and some of the chrome could use a good polish/buff, but she is super solid, the power top is in awesome shape. She's a great driver, cruise night, car show automobile.
I'd rate this car between a 2 and 3. Better than a ten footer but some minor flaws can be seen when you get up close.
Entry price on this great pre-war classic is $29,900 obo.
Any questions, to make an offer or to schedule a time to see her in person, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Thank you for the interest.
